Dorking Rugby values the work all of our youth players put in as they transition into senior rugby. We provide them with the opportunity to remain part of the wider senior squad during pre-season and whenever they're home from university.

It's brilliant to see such a strong group of university students returning this year – all of them will certainly be challenging for shirts this season. Every one of these players came through Dorking at Minis and Youth level, and now they're making that big step up to senior rugby.

"Seeing so many of our own coming back through the door each summer says a lot about the pathway we've built at this club over the years and one I’m very proud of. These players know Dorking inside out, and they'll add real competition for places as we head into pre-season."

Armand Roux, Director of Rugby

Archie Caldicott (2) – Prop

Archie played and trained with Dorking as part of his placement year two seasons ago, when he made his National 2 debut. He's now back after completing his studies.

Eddie Monk – Back Row / Second Row

Eddie captained Canterbury University last season as he completed his studies, and has been impressive throughout his pre-season campaign so far. He's back and ready to contribute to the Dorking cause.

Oli Shepherd – Centre

Oli was contracted with Pontypridd while at university in Wales, and has now made the decision to move back and compete for his youth club.

Toby Arnett – Back Row

Toby is back from his studies and, after taking a season out to recover from injury, will be pushing hard for his shirt. The ex-Colts captain has been training hard and will be back into the swing of things in no time.

Will Simpson (1) – Wing

The Colts National Cup-winning try-scoring winger from three years ago has been training with Dorking and made his senior National League debut for the club two years ago. He's back to push for his shirt again this season.

Great to have you all back!
