Following from our previous announcement about forwards recommitting for the 2023/24 season, we are pleased to now announce the backs which have agreed to continue the journey with the club.

Scrum & fly halves
Ben Mackenzie*
Ben has been a force of nature since joining the senior setup and is a scrumhalf with impressive pass alongside the speed and deception of an international 7’s player. Ben is another one who has really shown that he can stand up to the task since leaving the colts in 20/21. Equally happy across the back 3, he is an asset to every team he represents and has a long future at the club.
George Jackson*
George’s return to the big field in the 21/22 season was greatly received and since then has really started to drive the standards around him. George loves his time at 9, can play 10 and is also a very accomplished cricketer for those who wondered.
Henry Smith*
Henry has been fantastic for the Dorking Senior team being very good at both 9 and 10. “Tenry” has great vision for the game and demands good standards around. Henry is also our Master of fines for the men’s senior section.
Mikey Macdonald*
Mikey added some real zip to everything we did last year and complimented the other options around him. As comfortable at 9 as in the back 3, Mikey is very active in the armed services.
Oli Shepherd*
Oli made his 1st Team doubt last year and as a colt was one of the first players in recent times to play level 4 rugby as a Colt. Oli is comfortable at both 10/12 and 15 and we are looking forward to his devel-opment.
Centres
Henry Anscombe
Henry was the League’s top point scorer last season and has seamlessly made the change from out-and-out 10 to 12 really helping us impose our structure. He also made the NLR Team of the Year last season at 12.
Ryan Jeffery
Ryan is the most Nat 2 capped player for Dorking after making his 50th appearance for Dorking at level 4 and in fact closer to 250 for Dorking as a whole. Ryan is comfortable at both 12 and 13.
Fraser Mosley*
Fraser has really imposed himself in the 22/23 season and played most of his games at 13. Fraser is a real physical player on both sides of the ball and happy at 13 or Back 3. Fraser also helps with the Youth coaching on Sundays.

Adam Musa
'Moose' has been fantastic playing for Dorking and really got stuck into the thick of things just as he picked up an injury. “Moose” is comfortable at imposing himself from both Centre & wing.

Back 3
Ali Reed
Ali joined Dorking in the 22/23 Season after being introduced to the club from another Dorking youth player. Ali loves playing in the back 3 and juggles Uni commitments and rugby and exciting to watch.
Austin Emens
Austin burst onto the scene for Dorking last season straight from his Uni placement year and scored some cracking tries while with us for 5 months of the season. Austin will again be joining us from Christmas onwards when takes up his next works placement.
Cam Cowell*
Cam returned to Dorking in the 21/22 season after moving back down during the pandemic after a great stint with England 7’s, Newcastle and Doncaster. Cam is also our skills coach and supports our Colts Development Program alongside being comfortable at 15, 10 or winger.

Cameron Osborne*
Cam has been ever present over the years and making his Nat 2 debut last year. He really showed the ability to play both 13 and wing last season. After changing his work to play more rugby (Top man) he has now been really pushing hard for a spot.
Dan Riches*
Dan has certainly shown that he is capable at both wing and Centre for Dorking and last year really kicked on and showed he can do it on a National 2 level. Dan is also our very qualified nutritionist, and as such the props stay well clear of him.
Toby McRae*
The league’s top try scorer in 22/23 and absolute amazing finisher is looking forward to a new season ahead. Toby managed to score 7 in one game and unsurprisingly was Dorking’s final inclusion in last season’s NLR Team of the Season on the wing.

Will King*
Will has been phenomenal when at training, but university kept him busy. Will is this year back at Dor-king on a placement year and looking to push hard for that wing spot. Will is also following in his Dad ex-Dorking 1st team wing footsteps.

George Williams*
George has been great when putting on the Dorking shirt since he returned in middle of last season after a good stint with Quins 18’s. George is a great player and comfortable across the back division.

Finn Rennles*
Finn has been great value when pulling on the Dorking shirt and he has been looking very comfortable 15, wing and occasionally 10. Bags of talent, excited to see what he can bring this year having broken into the Leeds Beckett 1st team in his first year.
