U17 Semi Final Match Report 23rd April, 2012
A very strong Dorking backs performance ensured a convincing 41-5 victory over SW champions Cirencester yesterday at Henley RFC to see them into the shield final of the National U17 Cup.

Dorking were quickly into their stride to stretch the Cirencester defence and were 12-0 ahead through tries by wing Noel Salmon and No 12 Will Bennett after 10 minutes. But valiant Cirencester clawed their way back and forced Dorking to defend strongly as the opposition probed for weaknesses.

Dorking's pack worked well, in particular loosehead prop Alex Murray proved a big handful in the tight and loose. And just before the interval pack pressure forced a dropped pass which was seized by No10 Adam Worth who ran in under posts to score and notch a second conversion for a 19-0 lead.

Cirencester continued to probe around the fringes of the rucks and mauls, but outstanding work by the back row of Toby Lambert, Will Hargrave and George Bradbury stifled their chances and kept them on the back foot. Dorking made good use of their bench to maintain their dominance as the opposition tired. The Red & Whites continued to make breaks and Will Bennett ran in two more scores for his hattrick before Worth again and centre Olly Hutson finished off the victory. Cirencester never gave up and were rewarded with a late consolation try.

Dorking will now play Midlands champions Moseley who beat North champions Wilmslow 13-5. The final will be held at Worcester's Sixways ground on Sunday May 6.
