Hello and welcome to the Referee and Coaching section of Dorking RFC.
Coaching
We welcome both qualified coaches and those who are interested in getting involved in coaching.
Coaching is one of the most important factors in developing, sustaining and increasing participation in rugby union; securing the future and quality of the game. Each of our Youth and Mini Age groups have a mimiumum qualified coach requirement.
You may like the idea of developing young players, being active whilst learning new skills or maybe you just want to do something useful whilst your childfen are on the Field. Whatever your reason we would love to hear from you.
Anybody can try and coach rugby, but, to be an effective coach you need to undertake a number of different roles and accept a variety of responsibilities; covering the technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of our game.
Here at Dorking RFC we aim for all coaches to be qualified, regularly attend CPD courses and hold a current coach license.
